When Hope Solo visited Portugal this past week for Web Summit 2017, it also gave her a chance to check in on the current state of women’s soccer.

Hope met with SJPF, the Portuguese Players Union, and learned about the unique challenges that female players face there.

In the course of her trip, Hope also had an unexpected meeting with one of her wrestling heroes.
